Fifteen years is a long time to work in one place and it has been a great privilege to get to know so many lovely people in the St Jacobs School community. The wonderful staff, parents, (and grandparents) and of course the students all contributed to making this school such a wonderful place. I loved every minute of my time at St Jacobs School.  (Well, perhaps not all of the paper work!)

Over the years there have been so many students that I registered for Junior Kindergarten and also attended their grade 8 graduations.  I hope they all realized how proud I was of them.  It was always a joy to have them come back to visit when they were in high school or even university to let us know they were doing well. (Also to tell us that the school looked much smaller now!).

I hope to be able to come back occasionally to visit and say hello so you may see me around the school every now and then. I was at school this week because I just didn’t get my job finished before Christmas and I will be there for sure for Grade 8 grad in June.

I can’t thank everyone enough for making my last days (really, all my days) at St Jacobs School so memorable. (It was also very emotional!)    I received an unbelievably generous number of cards, gifts and really nice hugs of farewell. I can’t thank you enough for each and every one of them!

Thank you,
Mrs. Debbie Samuell
St Jacobs School
Secretary from 1999 to 2014.
